Q1: Does the Alpha Gear watch have true military certification?
A1: No. The watch does not possess verified MIL-STD-810G or MIL-STD-810H certification documentation from accredited independent testing facilities. The term "military grade" is applied here as a marketing descriptor rather than a verified regulatory standard.
Q2: Can the Alpha Gear watch track GPS routes without carrying a smartphone?
A2: No. The hardware lacks a dedicated onboard satellite receiver (GPS, GLONASS, or Galileo). Route mapping requires an active Bluetooth tether to a smartphone carrying the paired fitness companion app.
Q3: How durable is the Alpha Gear watch compared to an Amazfit T-Rex or Garmin Instinct?
A3: Established models from Amazfit and Garmin utilize reinforced fiber polymer cases, chemically toughened glass, proprietary long-life operating systems, and water resistance ratings certified to 5 ATM or 10 ATM. The Alpha Gear watch uses lower-grade cast zinc alloys, entry-level electronics, and standard splash resistance that deteriorate under prolonged stress.
