Security and safety compliance at ULA6 have tightened significantly. Yard marshals enforce strict traffic and safety mandates to prevent vehicle collisions in the tightly packed loading bays. Violating basic staging protocols can lead to immediate incident reports filed directly to Amazon Flex driver support, often resulting in account deactivations.
- High-Visibility Gear: Drivers must wear an approved reflective safety vest the moment their feet touch the asphalt outside their vehicles. Stepping out of a vehicle without high-vis gear results in an immediate site warning.
- Engine-Off Policy: Once parked in a loading bay, engines must be cut and emergency flashers activated. Leaving an engine running while loading grocery carts inside the warehouse bay is considered a severe safety breach.
- The 15-Minute Rule: Drivers arriving more than 4 minutes and 59 seconds past their block start time are automatically barred by the check-in kiosk system. ULA6 staff cannot manually override a missed check-in window.
- Drivers are required to return metal staging carts to designated return corrals inside the dock doors after loading their vehicles. Leaving rolling carts unattended on the vehicle apron creates hazards and draws immediate marshal citations.
Cart mix-ups remain the top complaint among new couriers. Because grocery runs split orders across brown paper bags and insulated cool bags, drivers must scan every package individually. Tossing an unscanned bag into a trunk without linking it to the route manifest results in delivery queue delays, missing-package dings, and uncompensated customer return runs.
