Peruvian police units arrived at the hotel alongside private security personnel shortly after the two-hour mark. Audio captured the moment officers entered the room, speaking in Spanish while attempting to separate the couple and de-escalate the environment. The feed went black moments later as officers secured the premises.
Both Siragusa and Lee were subsequently taken into administrative police custody at a local precinct. Under Peruvian municipal statutes, officers routinely separate and evaluate parties involved in reported domestic disturbances to assess safety risks and check for physical injuries. Medical examinations conducted at the station found no critical injuries, and neither party elected to press formal assault charges under Peruvian jurisdiction. After several hours of questioning and administrative processing, authorities released both individuals.
