Standard Qi induction pads transmit power across both the snap and tough designs without issue. Coil-to-pad distance remains well within the standard 4mm induction threshold, enabling routine bedside charging without removing the shell.
Magnetic accessory alignment, however, introduces complications. Because standard Stringberry shells rely on thermal sublimation across uniform polycarbonate, early iterations lacked integrated rare-earth magnetic arrays embedded into the plastic sandwich. While standard Qi chargers deliver current through the case, high-vibration magnetic mounts, such as car dashboard MagSafe docks, can slip under the added thickness of the tough edition unless an aftermarket magnetic ring or an updated MagSafe-specific edition is chosen.
