When a Pokémon holding the gem executes a damaging Electric-type move, the gem shatters automatically, granting a one-time 1.3x damage multiplier. That spike is often the difference between leaving a bulky Corviknight with a sliver of health and knocking it out clean on turn one.
Because the item is consumed upon activation in standard wild and survival battles, competitive trainers burn through dozens of them during intensive play sessions. Casual players frequently assume gems are exclusive to rare creative drops or lucky chest RNG. In reality, Cobbleverse features multiple parallel acquisition loops.
