The spread of this content followed an unmistakable timeline, moving from obscure art boards to widespread community turmoil across multiple digital platforms.
| Phase | Primary Platform | Observed Activity | Community Impact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase 1: Emergence (Mid, Late 2024) | DeviantArt, X, Private Discords | Underground fetish and body horror art created by fringe users | Contained within niche circles; zero mainstream spillover |
| Phase 2: Weaponization (Early, Mid 2025) | TikTok, YouTube Shorts | Bait-and-switch screamer edits and shock thumbnails deployed for view farming | Viral reach exceeds 10M+ aggregate views; younger users report distress |
| Phase 3: Backlash & Raids (Late 2025) | Roblox Groups, Public Discords | Troll groups raid community hangouts with explicit image links and spam | Fandom fractures; mass Discord server lockdowns and severe channel archiving |
| Phase 4: Containment (Current 2026) | Roblox DevForum, TikTok Trust & Safety | Aggressive blacklisting of keywords, automated hash bans on offending media | Content visibility drops by roughly 75%, though subtle variants linger |
