Q1: What episode does Trevor Collins die in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air?
Trevor Collins dies in Season 4, Episode 1 ("Where There's a Will, There's a Way, Part 1"), which originally aired on September 20, 1993. The immediate aftermath and confirmation of his death unfold in Part 2 of the same premiere.
Q2: Did Brian Stokes Mitchell do his own stunt for Trevor's bungee jump?
No. The sequence used an exterior location with a stunt double filmed jumping from the bridge platform, interspersed with tight close-up studio shots of Mitchell delivering his lines in a harness. The actual fatal impact was conveyed entirely through sound effects rather than graphic visuals.
Q3: How many episodes was Trevor in before he died?
Trevor Collins appeared in five episodes across Season 3 and early Season 4 before his death, with his memorial and character aftermath dominating the subsequent episode ("Where There's a Will, There's a Way, Part 2").
Q4: Why was Trevor killed off instead of just breaking up with Hilary?
The writers felt a standard breakup was too predictable for Hilary Banks. Killing Trevor in an absurd, live broadcast stunt gave Hilary a unique, comedic mourning arc that distinguished Season 4 while providing Will and Carlton a memorable backdrop for moving into their first off-campus apartment.
