Before cameras rolled in Wilmington, North Carolina for Prime Video, Briney was a theater student in Lower Manhattan. He trained in the competitive Pace University acting program, earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting for Film, Television, Voice-Over, and Commercials (FTVC) in 2020. That theater-heavy training grounded him in script analysis and stage discipline, separating him from creators who stumble into acting via viral social media fame.
His breakthrough into professional screen acting arrived not through a teen series, but via director Mary Harron in the biographical drama Dalíland. Cast as James Linton, a naive young art gallery assistant drawn into the surreal, volatile marriage of Salvador Dalí and his wife Gala, Briney spent his initial professional film shoots acting directly opposite Academy Award winner Sir Ben Kingsley.
Sharing scenes with Kingsley acted as an intensive masterclass. Harron required Briney to serve as the audience's grounded surrogate amid eccentric chaos. That dynamic demanded total presence, subtle comic timing, and the ability to hold an emotional line against theatrical legends. It established a professional precedent that would dictate his post-streaming choices.
