In October 1980, Hoffman married attorney and beauty entrepreneur Lisa Gottsegen. Their backstory sounds like classic cinema: Gottsegen’s grandmother was close friends with Hoffman’s mother, and Lisa first encountered Dustin at a family gathering when she was just ten years old. Years later, after completing law school and reconnecting with the newly single actor, their partnership blossomed into one of Hollywood’s most stable long-term marriages.
