Plant became a father just as Led Zeppelin evolved from an experimental British blues outfit into the biggest touring act in the world. He married Maureen Wilson in November 1968, shortly after the band played its earliest London gigs. While Plant spent grueling months traversing American arenas by private jet, Wilson remained grounded at Jennings Farm in Worcestershire, anchoring a home environment intentionally separated from the excess of the music industry.
The marriage produced three children: Carmen Jane Plant (born October 1968), Karac Pendragon Plant (born April 1972), and Logan Romero Plant (born January 1979). Following his divorce from Maureen in 1983, Plant maintained an amicable, lifelong relationship with his former wife. In September 1991, Plant welcomed his youngest son, Jesse Lee Plant, with Maureen’s sister, Shirley Wilson. This close-knit, unconventional domestic arrangement allowed Plant to preserve a stable, rooted existence for his younger children in the West Midlands far away from tabloid lenses.
