The viral fan speculation moved fast. Casual observers, skimming foreign entertainment aggregation accounts, read the name "Kento" and instantly attached it to Japan's most recognizable global export: Kento Yamazaki. Within forty-eight hours, discussion threads on Reddit and X (formerly Twitter) debated how the two met, whether they were keeping a low-profile relationship, and how long they had allegedly been seeing each other.
None of those narratives stood on factual ground. The man in the photograph was not Yamazaki.
