Braison Cyrus walked an entirely different path from his older brother. Born in 1994, Braison initially explored acting and high-fashion modeling before stepping into the family trade. Rather than looking to Los Angeles or embracing aggressive pop production, he immersed himself in the rich songwriting community of Nashville.
Braison debuted as a recording artist in late 2018 with the release of I'll Never Leave You, a dusty, heartfelt track driven by warm acoustic guitars and contemplative lyrics. His voice was husky, raw, and unadorned, instantly distinguishing him from both Billy Ray's country polish and Trace's processed electro-rock delivery.
In October 2021, Braison released his debut studio album, Jangle Fantasy. The record earned respect from regional critics for its balance of 1970s singer-songwriter traditions, modern alt-country textures, and indie rock arrangements. Tracks like "Disloyal" and "Heart is Gold" revealed an artist far more interested in small-venue intimacy, pedal steel accents, and analog tape warmth than chart-topping hooks. Braison frequently plays Nashville venues like The Basement, working with seasoned session players and prioritizing craft over hype.
