The explosion of social shopping created a secondary market of malicious actors exploiting deal-seeking consumers. Searching video feeds for generic checkout bargains often exposes viewers to scripted tutorials directing them to obscure third-party websites claiming to generate "unlimited $100 coupon codes."
These schemes rely on click-jacking and aggressive ad-revenue farming. Users are told to download suspicious third-party utility applications, complete multi-step surveys, or submit personal identifiable information to "unlock" an alphanumeric voucher string. Once entered into the mobile checkout field, the generated code invariably returns an error: "Promotion code does not exist or has expired."
Authentic TikTok discounts never require completing off-platform verification surveys or installing separate configuration profiles on your smartphone. ByteDance maintains its promotional ledger strictly within its closed-loop payment gateway. Legitimate merchant concessions appear natively within the app interface: marked in green or red discount text directly beneath the item listing, or accessible inside your profile's Voucher Center tab.
