Gaining clearance to the northern river shelf demands advancing Ranni the Witch’s storyline through Caria Manor and Nokron. You must defeat General Radahn in Caelid to open the meteor crater into Nokron, retrieve the Fingerslayer Blade from the sacred ground, and deliver it directly to Ranni at her tower in the Three Sisters sub-region.
Once Ranni departs on her journey, the seal blocking Renna's Rise dissipates. Climbing Renna’s tower reveals a waygate at the summit. Stepping through this portal teleports you directly onto the high stone ledges of Ainsel River Main.
Upon arriving, immediately collect the Miniature Ranni doll resting inside the stone coffin near the landing site. Rest at the adjacent Site of Grace and select "Talk to miniature Ranni" three consecutive times until the spirit answers. Failing to complete this dialogue halts narrative progress, though the physical path downstream toward Nokstella remains open for your seed expedition.
