For over a decade, Eisen remained an enigma to the convention circuit. While co-stars Dante Basco, Mae Whitman, Jack De Sena, and Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph, often credited as Jessie Flower) made regular appearances at fan expos, Eisen stayed away. Fan communities routinely questioned whether bad blood or creative burnout kept him apart from the cast.
That narrative dissolved completely when Nickelodeon assembled the full original cast for an official 20th Anniversary reunion panel at New York Comic Con.
Appearing alongside Basco, Whitman, De Sena, and Murphy, Eisen received a massive standing ovation. Popverse reported that the chemistry between the adult cast members was instant, with Eisen laughing over old recording bloopers and discussing how strange it was to hear his pre-teen voice preserved forever on streaming platforms. During the panel, the cast reminisced about the unexpected longevity of the show. Eisen acknowledged that while he had spent years living a quiet, regular civilian life, seeing the generational impact of Avatar firsthand gave him deep closure and pride in the work he completed as a child.
