Commuting to campus on Saturdays demands advance planning. Student ticket packages do not include game day parking passes. Most campus lots surrounding Spartan Stadium restrict access to season donor passes or high-tier university permits starting early in the morning.
Undergraduate commuters rely primarily on Lot 89, located at the intersection of Mount Hope Road and Farm Lane. Parking here costs substantially less than inner-campus structures, and the Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA) runs shuttle buses straight to the stadium gates for a nominal fee.
Students living in East Lansing neighborhoods or dormitories along Grand River Avenue will find that walking or biking along the Red Cedar River trail networks beats navigating closed avenues and heavy gridlock around Shaw Lane.
