If someone sends you a poke, locating where to respond can still be tricky if you do not know where to look. Mobile app layouts update frequently, but the core pathways remain consistent.
To respond on an iPhone or Android device:
Open the Facebook application.
Tap the search icon in the upper-right corner.
Type Pokes and tap search.
Select the official shortcut labeled Pokes with the blue hand icon.
You will see a list of friends who poked you, alongside an automated list of recommended connections.
Tap the blue Poke Back button beside their name.
For desktop users, the easiest route bypasses search menus entirely. Open any browser and navigate directly to the dedicated Facebook poke page at facebook.com/pokes. This screen aggregates your active history, showing who poked you, when they did it, and an option to return the tap with a single click. You cannot poke someone multiple times in succession; they must poke you back before you can send another.
